Over the course of the last few years, the cannabis market in New Mexico has seen some significant growth. Just last month, February 2024, New Mexico hit the $1 Billion mark for all time sales. Although, this total includes both medical and adult-use sales dating back from when cannabis became legal on an adult-use level back in April of 2022. It is no surprise that the cannabis market is booming, just last month the state hit almost $48m in total sales. Of course a huge part of that $48m comes from Texas residents making their way to the Land of Enchantment to put money back into the local and state economy. Cities like Albuquerque, Las Cruses, and Santa Fe always lead the market in total sales, but that is no surprise based on either size and population, being a tourist destination, or simply because of how close they are located to some of the larger New Mexico/Texas boarder towns. So what about the smaller markets that are thriving in the "Green Rush" in New Mexico. Towns like Texico, Clovis, Portales, and Tucumcari have been in the game just as long as those larger cities but don't really make it past the locals when the topic of cannabis and cannabis sales comes up. These cities combined for over $2.4m in medical and adult-use sales for the month of February. The City of Clovis leads the pack of these smaller players with almost $1.4m in total sales for the month of February '24.

Clovis New Mexico plays host to multiple cannabis dispensaries, roughly 21(thanks Google). With 21 dispensaries in town, locals and visitors definitely have a choice on where to shop. Do you want that "high end" feel, how about some budget bud, what about a huge inventory or any combination of the like, the Clovis market has it available for the consumer. Companies like Earl and Tom's, NM Green Door, and Korner Kush are home grown (pun intended) and locally owned and operated by long time Clovis residents. Make no mistake though, the "big guys" are here to play too, and some of the bigger players have multiple locations in town. Bigger doesn't mean better and being local can go a long way with customer loyalty. The choice is defiantly yours when it comes to cannabis purchases in Clovis.
